Sue Viccars
Sue Viccars is a freelance outdoor writer and editor, specialising in southwest England, and especially Dartmoor and Exmoor. A member of the Outdoor Writers and Photographers Guild, she was commissioning editor for the equestrian, outdoor and countryside lists for David & Charles publishers for 20 years, before going freelance in 2000. She writes for a wide variety of magazines – including Outdoor Enthusiast, Beautiful Britain, Country Life and Exmoor: the country magazine – and has written books for Aurum, the AA and Frommers, as well as Crimson. She also does regular editing work for Cicerone Publishers. She has lived on Dartmoor for 25 years, and since spring 2008 has been editor of The Dartmoor Magazine.
