Author of Live & Work Brussels, Derek Blyth is a native of Scotland currently working in Brussels as a freelance journalist and writer. His articles have appeared in Wall Street Journal, Art News, European Business and The Independent. He is the author of more than a dozen travel books, including the Blue Guide Belgium, Flemish Cities Explored, and Brussels for Pleasure, which was described by British novelist Patrick Gale as ?wonderful?. In addition, he organises literary walking tours for small groups on ?Charlotte Bront‰ in Brussels?. Derek lives with his wife and four children in a renovated 19th century town house, not far from the street where Audrey Hepburn was born. He remains convinced that Brussels is one of the most interesting and liveable cities in Europe.
