Sir Antony Rupert Jay spent the first six years of his working life on a daily topical television programme called Tonight. Since then he has published two books on management, started up, with John Cleese, a company called Video Arts which made comedy training films for managers, and chaired it for 17 years. He went on to write two documentaries and with Jonathan Lynn and I wrote Yes, Minister. He also edited the Oxford Dictionary of Political Quotations since 1997. He has written for The Times and The Daily Mail.
